    Dental Implants

Dental implants are the modern way to replace missing teeth caused through decay or trauma. An implant consists of a post which is inserted into your gum with an artificial tooth attached to the post. They are durable, long lasting and made to appear as if they emerge naturally from your gum. Implants generally have the longest life and best success rate of any dental treatment…if done properly!

At Lisburn Road Dental Clinic our principal Dr Greg Finnegan is Royal College of Surgeons educated in Implantology and his highly regarded by his peers and patients. This is due to his continual commitment to professional development.

A dental implant consists mainly of two parts: the ‘post’ acting as the root of the tooth and the ‘crown’. The post is made of titanium which osseo integrates into the surrounding bone. The crown is the attached to the post.

Teeth in a day

New teeth in a day is a ground-breaking procedure that uses specially constructed titanium posts that are placed at a specific angle. This means that, unlike traditional implants, there is no need for bone grafting. With same day dental implants, you are fitted with a set of fixed natural looking temporary teeth that are designed to speed up healing process.
After about three months they are replaced with a permanent set of new teeth, restoring your smile.
